เอกสารหลักที่ต้องเตรียม

ขั้นตอนการทำทะเบียนบ้าน “เล่มเหลือง”
- ยื่นที่สำนักงานเขต หรืออำเภอ: เจ้าบ้าน + ต่างชาติ (สามารถมอบอำนาจได้)
- พยานบุคคล ได้แก่ บุคคลที่สามารถรับรองและยืนยันตัวบุคคลของผู้ขอเพิ่มชื่อได้ อย่างน้อย 2 คน มีการสัมภาษณ์ด้วย

ขั้นตอนต่อมา: ขอ “บัตรสีชมพู”
เมื่อได้ทะเบียนบ้านเล่มเหลืองแล้ว สามารถยื่นขอ บัตรประจำตัวคนต่างด้าว (บัตรชมพู) ได้เลย ใช้เวลา 15 นาทีบัตรนี้จะมีเลขประจำตัว 13 หลัก (ขึ้นต้นด้วยเลข 6, 7, 8 หรือ 9) ใช้เป็นหลักฐานยืนยันตัวตนภายในประเทศได้
เอกสารที่ใช้ขอบัตรชมพู :
- ทะเบียนบ้านเล่มเหลือง
- หนังสือเดินทาง (Passport)
- สูติบัตร หรือหนังสือรับรองการเกิด (แปลไทย+รับรองกงสุล)

These documents are especially useful for foreigners who have been living in Thailand long-term and rarely leave the country, as they make everyday life much more convenient. Renewing a passport through one’s own embassy often takes time and can be more expensive.

Main documents required
- A valid passport with a legal visa (long-term or Non-Immigrant O visa or higher)
- A copy of the house registration book belonging to the household head, plus a copy of the house owner’s Thai ID card
- If the foreigner owns a condominium, the condo ownership document (title deed) can be used instead
- Some places may also require a birth certificate or other documents showing the foreigner’s father’s and mother’s names.
- All documents of foreigners that are not in Thai must be translated into Thai and certified by the consulate.
Steps to obtain a Yellow House Registration Book
- Apply at the district office (Amphoe) or municipal office (Khet) with:
- The house owner and the foreigner applicant (a power of attorney can be used)
- Provide two witnesses who can verify the applicant’s identity (an interview will be conducted)
- Processing time: within 30 days

Once the yellow house registration book is issued, the foreigner can immediately apply for a Foreigner Identification Card (Pink ID Card).
The process takes around 15 minutes. The card includes a 13-digit ID number (beginning with 6, 7, 8, or 9) and can be used as official identification within Thailand.
