• หากเดินทางออกจากประเทศไทยไปแล้ว และเดินทางกลับเข้ามาใหม่ด้วยสิทธิ์ฟรีวีซ่าอีกครั้ง:
• ขออยู่ต่อรอบแรก: ได้เพิ่ม 30 วัน ตามปกติ
• ขออยู่ต่อรอบที่สอง: จะได้รับการขยายเวลาต่อได้เพียง 7 วันเท่านั้น
• เหตุผล: เป็นมาตรการทางกฎหมายเพื่อป้องกันการทำ Visa Run (การเข้า-ออกประเทศเพื่อวนต่ออายุวีซ่าเรื่อยๆ) และป้องกันกลุ่มสแกมเมอร์

ชาวต่างชาติทุกคนต้องมีการแจ้งสถานที่พักอาศัย (ตม.30) ก่อนไปยื่นเรื่องขออยู่ต่อ:

• กรณีพักโรงแรม: โรงแรมจะเป็นผู้จัดการแจ้งเรื่องให้
• กรณีพักบ้านคนไทย / คอนโด: เจ้าบ้านหรือผู้ให้เช่ามีหน้าที่ต้องแจ้ง
• หากไม่ได้แจ้ง ตม.30: จะมีโทษปรับตั้งแต่ 800 – 2,000 บาท (ขึ้นอยู่กับการพิจารณาของเจ้าหน้าที่)
• คำแนะนำ: ควรลงทะเบียนแจ้ง ตม.30 ทางออนไลน์ล่วงหน้าผ่านเว็บไซต์ของสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง เพื่อใช้เป็นหลักฐานและป้องกันการถูกปรับเมื่อไปยื่นเรื่อง

• สถานที่: ต้องไปยื่นเรื่อง ณ สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง (ตม.) ที่อยู่ใกล้เคียงกับสถานที่พักอาศัยเท่านั้น (อ้างอิงตามท้องที่ที่แจ้ง ตม.30 หรือตามทะเบียนบ้านที่พัก) 不สามารถไปยื่นที่ ตม. สาขาอื่นตามใจชอบได้ และไม่จำเป็นต้องเดินทางไปที่สำนักงานใหญ่ในกรุงเทพฯ

• การยื่นเรื่อง: ผู้ยื่นเรื่องต้องไปติดต่อดำเนินการด้วยตัวเอง ไม่สามารถมอบอำนาจให้ผู้อื่นทำแทนได้

• ระยะเวลาดำเนินการ: เมื่อเอกสารครบถ้วน มักใช้เวลาไม่เกิน 1 ชั่วโมง

1. แบบฟอร์ม ตม.7 (TM.7): สามารถรับและกรอกได้ที่สำนักงาน ตม. หรือดาวน์โหลดล่วงหน้าจากเว็บไซต์ immigration.go.th
2. รูปถ่าย: รูปถ่ายสี ขนาด 4×6 ซม. พื้นหลังสีขาว ถ่ายไว้ไม่เกิน 6 เดือน
3. พาสปอร์ตและสำเนา: สำเนาหน้าพาสปอร์ต และสำเนาหน้าที่มีตราประทับขาเข้าประเทศไทย
4. หลักฐานการลงทะเบียนเข้าเมืองดิจิทัล / ตม.6 (TDAC): เอกสารที่ลงทะเบียนไว้ก่อนเดินทางเข้าไทย
5. หลักฐานการแจ้งที่พักอาศัย (ตม.30)
6. ค่าธรรมเนียม: 1,900 บาท (ชำระ ณ สำนักงาน ตม.)

• ช่วงเวลาที่ควรยื่น: แนะนำให้ไปยื่นขออยู่ต่อล่วงหน้า 7 ถึง 20 วัน ก่อนที่สิทธิ์ฟรีวีซ่าเดิมจะหมดอายุ

• ห้ามปล่อยให้วีซ่าหมดอายุ (Overstay): หากปล่อยให้เลยกำหนดวันที่ได้รับอนุญาต จะไม่สามารถยื่นขออยู่ต่อได้ และจะถูกดำเนินคดี/ปรับฐานอยู่เกินกำหนด ซึ่งจะทำให้มีประวัติเสีย (Record) อาจถูกเพ่งเล็งเป็นพิเศษ หรือถูกปฏิเสธการเข้าประเทศไทยในครั้งถัดไป

หากวางแผนจะอยู่ในประเทศไทยเกิน 30 วันตั้งแต่ก่อนเดินทาง แนะนำให้ขอ “วีซ่าท่องเที่ยว (Tourist Visa)” จากสถานทูตหรือสถานกงสุลไทยในต่างประเทศมาก่อน เพราะจะได้รับสิทธิ์พำนักตั้งแต่แรก 60 วัน และยังสามารถยื่นขออยู่ต่อที่ ตม. ในไทยได้อีก 30 วัน (รวมเป็นสูงสุด 90 วัน) ซึ่งจะคุ้มค่าและสะดวกกว่า

• Extension Eligibility: You can apply for an extension once per visit for an additional 30 days (bringing your total stay up to 60 days).
• Not a New Visa: This process is simply a temporary extension of your stay, not a new visa application.
• No Continuous Extensions: Once your 60-day limit is reached, you must exit the country. Continuous extensions as a tourist are not permitted.
• No Flight/Financial Proof Required: You do not need to show an outbound flight ticket or bank statements to apply for this extension.

If you leave Thailand and re-enter using another Visa Exemption entry:

• First Extension: You will get the standard 30 days.
• Second Extension (on the new entry): You will only receive a 7-day extension.
• Reason: This legal measure prevents “Visa Runs” (frequently entering and exiting to renew stays) and curbs scammer activities.

All foreigners must have their place of stay reported via the TM.30 form before applying for an extension:

• Staying in a Hotel: The hotel management will handle the TM.30 report for you.
• Staying at a Condo or Private Home: The landlord or homeowner is responsible for reporting.
• Fines for Non-Compliance: Failure to report TM.30 results in a fine ranging from 800 to 2,000 THB.
• Recommendation: Ensure TM.30 is submitted online in advance via the Immigration Bureau website to keep proof and avoid fines at the immigration office.

Where to Apply: You must apply at the Immigration Office local to your current residence (based on your TM.30 registration or house address). You cannot pick any branch at random, and there is no need to travel to the main headquarters in Bangkok.

In-Person Requirement: Applications must be submitted in person; power of attorney or delegates are not accepted.

Processing Time: Once all documents are complete, the process usually takes less than an hour.

1. Application Form TM.7: Available at the immigration office or downloadable beforehand at immigration.go.th.
2. Passport Photo: One color photo (4×6 cm) with a white background, taken within the last 6 months.
3. Passport & Copies: Copies of your passport photo page and the page showing your current Thai entry stamp.
4. Digital Arrival Registration / TM.6 (TDAC / TDX): Proof of digital arrival registration completed prior to entry.
5. Proof of Address Notification (TM.30).
6. Application Fee: 1,900 THB (paid at the immigration office).

• When to Apply: It is recommended to apply 7 to 20 days before your current visa-exempt stay expires.

• Do Not Overstay: If your permit expires, you can no longer apply for an extension. Overstaying leads to fines, legal action, and a permanent negative immigration record, which may result in extra scrutiny or entry denial on future visits.

If you plan to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days from the start, consider applying for a Tourist Visa at a Thai Embassy or Consulate abroad before traveling. This gives you an initial 60-day stay, which can also be extended for another 30 days at local Thai immigration (totaling up to 90 days), offering better value and convenience.
