1. Select Your Country and Visa Type

• Register an account and set a password on ThaieVisa.go.th.
• Select the country of your passport. This must be done while you are in the country of your passport, or the country where you work or have long-term residence.
• Select the Thai embassy if your country has multiple embassies (e.g., USA, Germany, China, Japan).
• Choose the visa type according to your purpose:
  • Tourist TR – for tourism
  • Non-Immigrant O – for retirement, spouse, or dependent children
  • DTV (Destination Thailand Visa)

⚠️ Choosing the wrong visa type may result in a high risk of denial.

2. Upload Documents and Fill in Personal Information

• Upload a scanned copy of your passport and a visa photo.
• Fill in your personal information exactly as it appears on your passport.
  • If your passport contains special characters, convert them to English letters.
  • Verify with the embassy if unsure.
    
• Enter your address, occupation, and income.
• Provide your travel details and address in Thailand:
  • Private accommodation – if staying at a Thai spouse, partner, or friend’s house; enter the host’s name.
  • Hotel – enter the hotel booking information.
    
• Upload supporting documents, such as:
  • Round-trip flight ticket – only if required for upload. If unavailable, a flight itinerary is sufficient (ticket purchase not required yet). Services like GoNoGuide can help prepare this if needed.
  • Proof of accommodation or invitation letter – e.g., host’s ID card, house registration, or hotel booking.
  • Financial proof – recent bank statement, retirement income, or salary certificate.
  • Other documents depending on visa type – e.g., marriage certificate, employment certificate, etc.
• How far in advance can you apply E-visa ?
  • E-visa processing may take up to 25 business days, especially during peak seasons when there is a high volume of applications.
  • It is recommended to apply at least 2 months in advance, but no more than 3 months, to avoid the visa expiring before the intended departure date.

3. Pay the Embassy Fee

• Most countries allow online payment via credit or debit card.
• In some countries, payment must be made directly at the embassy.

4. Wait for Embassy Processing

• Processing usually takes 10–21 business days.
• If your documents are incomplete, you may be notified by email to upload additional documents through ThaieVisa.
• No need to visit the embassy in person.
• No need to leave your passport at the embassy.

5. Receive Your Visa

• Keep a printed copy handy for other official purposes during your stay in Thailand.
• The visa will be sent to your email.
• Download the e-Visa, save it on your phone, and print a copy.
• Present the e-Visa to Thai immigration officers upon arrival.
