วีซ่าเกษียณประเภท Non-Immigrant O (Retirement)

• เมื่อได้รับวีซ่า จะได้สิทธิ์พำนักเบื้องต้น 90 วัน

• เมื่ออนุมัติ จะได้อยู่ต่อครั้งละ 1 ปี

คุณสมบัติก่อนเริ่มต้น

อายุขั้นต่ำ 50 ปีขึ้นไป

ต้องมีคุณสมบัติทางการเงินอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งต่อไปนี้:

1. มีเงินบำนาญ หรือรายได้ไม่น้อยกว่า 65,000 บาท/เดือน

   หรือ
3. หากยังไม่ถึงเกณฑ์ ให้สะสมเงินให้ครบ 800,000 บาทก่อนยื่น

เงิน 800,000 บาท เป็นเงินหลักประกันโชว์สถานะทางการเงิน เงินยังอยู่ในบัญชี ไม่ได้จ่ายให้ใคร

ยื่นคำขอก่อนเข้าไทย

• กรอกใบสมัครทางออนไลน์
• อัปโหลดเอกสาร
• ชำระค่าธรรมเนียมออนไลน์
• ได้วีซ่าทางอีเมล ไม่ต้องไปสถานทูต

กรณียื่นจากประเทศตนเอง

• ใช้เอกสารบัญชีธนาคารภาษาประเทศของตนเองได้

กรณียื่นจากประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน (ลาว เวียดนาม มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์)

• เอกสารทุกอย่างต้องเป็น ภาษาอังกฤษเท่านั้น
• ต้องเดินทางเข้าไปในประเทศนั้นจริง เพื่อรับตราประทับขาเข้า และอัปโหลดประกอบคำขอ

เอกสารเชิญจากคนไทย

• จดหมายเชิญ
• สำเนาบัตรประชาชน
• สำเนาทะเบียนบ้านของผู้เชิญ

ไม่อยากขอวีซ่าก่อนเข้าไทย แต่จะมาไทยด้วยฟรีวีซ่า แล้วจะเปลี่ยนจากฟรีวีซ่าเป็นวีซ่าเกษียณได้มั้ย

• ปัจจุบัน (2569) นโยบายเน้นให้ยื่นขอวีซ่าก่อนเดินทางเข้าไทย

กรณีเลือกใช้เงินฝาก 800,000 บาทในไทย

• ยังไม่ต้องดำเนินการใด ๆ จนกว่าจะเข้าไทย

กรณีเลือกใช้ใบแสดงเงินบำนาญหรือรายได้

ต้อง:

1. นำเอกสารไปรับรองความถูกต้องจากหน่วยงานในประเทศต้นทาง
2. รับรองซ้ำที่สถานทูตไทย
   (บางประเทศอาจรับรองที่สถานทูตของประเทศตนในไทยได้ แต่บางแห่งไม่รับหรือคิวยาว)

จากนั้น:

• แปลเป็นภาษาไทย
• รับรองคำแปลที่กรมการกงสุลในไทย ก่อนนำไปยื่น ตม.

กรณีใช้เงินฝาก 800,000 บาท

1. เปิดบัญชีธนาคารไทย (ต้องมีวีซ่า Non-O)
2. โอนเงินเข้า 800,000 บาท
3. เงินต้องอยู่ในบัญชี อย่างน้อย 2 เดือนก่อนวันยื่นขออยู่ต่อ

กรณีใช้เงินบำนาญ / รายได้ 65,000 บาทต่อเดือน

ต้องมีเอกสารที่:

• รับรองความถูกต้องแล้ว
• นำไปแปลเป็นไทย
• รับรองคำแปลจากกรมการกงสุล

1. สำเนาพาสปอร์ต

• หน้าแรกที่มีรูปถ่าย
• หน้าที่มีตราประทับขาเข้าล่าสุด

2. เอกสาร ตม.

• TDAC (ลงทะเบียนก่อนเข้าไทย)
• ตม.30 แจ้งที่พัก
• ตม.47 รายงานตัว 90 วัน

3. หลักฐานการเงิน (ภาษาไทย) อย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง:

หนังสือรับรองเงินฝาก + สมุดบัญชีย้อนหลัง 2 เดือน
ยอดไม่น้อยกว่า 800,000 บาท

ใบแสดงเงินบำนาญ / รายได้ ≥ 65,000 บาท/เดือน
หรือ

กรณีใช้เงินฝาก:

• ต้องคงเงินในบัญชีอย่างน้อย 400,000 บาท ต่อเนื่องอีก 3 เดือนหลังอนุมัติ
• ห้ามให้ยอดต่ำกว่ากำหนด
  หากถอนต่ำกว่าเกณฑ์ อาจมีปัญหาในการต่ออายุปีถัดไป

What Is the Non-O Retirement Visa?

The Non-Immigrant O (Retirement) visa is for foreigners aged 50 or older who want to retire in Thailand.

• Initial stay: 90 days
• After entering Thailand, you must apply for a 1-year extension of stay at the Immigration Office.
• The extension is granted for 1 year at a time
• It can be renewed annually at the Immigration Office responsible for your registered address.

Basic Qualifications

You must be at least 50 years old.

You must meet one of the following financial requirements:

1. Monthly pension or income of at least 65,000 THB per month, or
2. Bank deposit of at least 800,000 THB, or
3. If you do not meet the requirements yet, save until you reach 800,000 THB before applying.

The 800,000 THB is a financial guarantee. It remains in your bank account and is not paid to anyone.

You must apply for the visa before entering Thailand.

• Receive your visa by email
• No need to visit the embassy in person

If Applying from Your Home Country

• You may use bank statements and documents in your local language.

If Applying from a Neighboring Country

(e.g., Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines)

• You must physically enter that country to receive an entry stamp, which must be uploaded with your application.

1. Financial proof (choose one):

• Pension or income certificate showing at least 65,000 THB per month, or
• Bank certificate showing at least 800,000 THB (from a foreign or Thai bank)

2. Invitation documents from a Thai person:

• Invitation letter
• Copy of Thai ID card
• Copy of house registration (Tabien Baan)

If you do not want to apply for a visa before entering Thailand and plan to enter under visa exemption, can you later change from visa exemption to a retirement visa?

• Currently (2026), the policy emphasizes applying for the appropriate visa before traveling to Thailand.

• A change of visa type is subject to the discretion of the Immigration officer. In most cases, applicants are advised to obtain the proper visa before entering Thailand, as changing visa types within Thailand is generally not encouraged.

Important points:

• Entering Thailand with visa exemption or a tourist visa does not allow you to open a Thai bank account.
  A Non-O visa is required.

• If you enter and exit Thailand frequently (more than twice), Immigration may refuse a visa change inside Thailand.
  Many applicants are instructed to leave Thailand, apply online from abroad, and then re-enter.

If You Plan to Use 800,000 THB in a Thai Bank Account

• No action is required until you enter Thailand.

If You Plan to Use Pension or Monthly Income

You must:

1. Have your pension/income document certified as authentic by authorities in your home country.
2. Have it legalized by the Thai Embassy in your country.
   (Some nationalities may certify documents at their own embassy in Thailand, but some embassies do not provide this service or have long waiting times.)

After that:

• Translate the document into Thai
• Have the Thai translation legalized by the Department of Consular Affairs in Thailand
• Then submit it to Immigration

If Using the 800,000 THB Bank Deposit

1. Open a Thai bank account (Non-O visa required)
2. Transfer 800,000 THB into the account
3. The money must remain in the account for at least 2 months before applying for the extension

If Using Pension / Monthly Income (65,000 THB per Month)

Your documents must be:

• Legalized
• Translated into Thai
• Legalized translation by the Department of Consular Affairs in Thailand

1. Passport copies:

• Bio-data page (photo page)
• Latest entry stamp page

2. Immigration documents:

• TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card)
• TM.30 (residence notification)
• TM.47 (90-day reporting)

3. Financial proof in Thai (choose one):

• Pension or income certificate ≥ 65,000 THB per month
  or
• Thai bank certificate + bank book showing at least 800,000 THB for the past 2 months

If using the bank deposit method:

• You must keep at least 400,000 THB in the account for 3 months after approval
• The balance must not fall below the required amount
  If it does, you may have problems renewing your visa next year.
