เอกสารหลักในการขอวีซ่า Non-O คู่สมรสไทย

1. หลักฐานการเงิน

• เงินฝาก 400,000 บาท ขึ้นไป
  • ขอวีซ่าก่อนมาไทย: ใช้บัญชีต่างประเทศได้
  • เปลี่ยนวีซ่า / ขออยู่ต่อ ทำเรื่องในไทย: ใช้บัญชีไทยเท่านั้น
    
• หรือ รายได้ประจำ 40,000 บาท/เดือน ขึ้นไป
  • ขอวีซ่าก่อนมาไทย: ใช้ได้เลย
  • เปลี่ยนวีซ่า / ขออยู่ต่อ ทำเรื่องในไทย: รับรองไม่ปลอมแปล รับรองสถานทูต แปล รับรองแปล หลักการเหมือนทะเบียนสมรสต่างประเทศ ดูได้ที่ “กรณีทะเบียนสมรสต่างประเทศ“

2. เอกสารเฉพาะบุคคล

• สำเนาบัตรประชาชน , สำเนาทะเบียนบ้าน ของคู่สมรสไทย
• พาสปอร์ต, ID card หรือเอกสารที่แสดงถิ่นพำนักระยะยาวในประเทศที่ขอวีซ่า

3. ทะเบียนสมรส

✅ กรณีขอวีซ่าจากต่างประเทศก่อนเข้าไทย

• ไม่ว่าจะเป็นทะเบียนสมรสไทย คร.2, คร.3 หรือ เป็นทะเบียนสมรสต่างประเทศ ก็สามารถใช้ยื่นได้เลย ไม่ต้องแปล ไม่ต้องรับรอง
• เมื่อได้รับอนุมัติครั้งแรก จะได้ระยะเวลาอยู่ 90 วัน หลังจากนั้นสามารถขอต่ออายุได้อีก 1 ปี และต่อได้เรื่อย ๆ

Main Documents Required for a Thai Marriage (Non-O) Visa

1. Financial Evidence

• Bank deposit of at least 400,000 THB
  • Applying for a visa before entering Thailand: a foreign bank account can be used.
  • Changing visa type / extending stay in Thailand: only a Thai bank account is accepted.
• Or, a regular monthly income of at least 40,000 THB
  • Applying before entering Thailand: accepted as is.
  • Changing visa type / extending stay in Thailand: the income documents must be authenticated, certified by the embassy, translated into Thai, and the translation legalized — following the same process as for foreign marriage certificates (see “Foreign Marriage Certificate” section).
    
• ▶️ What if you don’t have 400,000 THB? You can combine your savings and income, or show proof of regular financial support from your Thai spouse.
• ▶️ Why does the bank “freeze” the 400,000 THB for another 4 months?

2. Personal Documents

• Copy of the Thai spouse’s ID card and house registration.
• Copy of the foreign spouse’s passport, ID card, or any document showing long-term residence in the country where the visa is applied for.

3. Marriage Certificate

✅ Applying from outside Thailand

• Whether it’s a Thai marriage certificate (Khor Ror 2 or Khor Ror 3) or a foreign marriage certificate, it can be used directly — no translation or legalization needed.
• Once approved, the visa is valid for 90 days, after which you can apply for a 1-year extension, renewable annually.

✅ Applying inside Thailand
This is technically not a “new visa” but a change of visa type (e.g. from a visa exemption to a marriage visa), or an extension of stay (if you already entered on a Non-O visa). The required documents are similar, but: ▪ If you entered Thailand on a visa exemption, opening a Thai bank account can be very difficult. ▪ If you entered with a Non-O visa, you can open a Thai bank account easily.

• Thai marriage certificates (Khor Ror 2 or Khor Ror 3): accepted as-is, no translation or legalization required.
• Foreign marriage certificates: must be authenticated as genuine.
  Notes on Foreign Marriage Certificates
  • Some countries require authentication by their own authorities only (cannot be done in Thailand).
  • Some require both authentication by local authorities and by the Thai Embassy in that country.
  • Some do not have their embassy in Thailand providing this service, so you must complete the process before coming to Thailand.
  • ✈ Always check directly with the Thai Embassy in your country:
    “If I want to use my foreign marriage certificate to apply for a stay in Thailand, does it need to be legalized by the Thai Embassy?”

  • After your foreign certificate has been verified as genuine:
    • Translate it into Thai.
    • Have the translation certified at the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Thailand).

• Immigration may verify the relationship by checking photos, interviews, or home visits.
• If you change from a visa exemption to a Non-O marriage visa, you’ll first get 90 days, then can extend for 1 year.
• If you already hold a Non-O visa, your extension will be for 1 year.
