คุณสมบัติผู้ยื่น

ต้องมีเอกสารใดเอกสารหนึ่งต่อไปนี้:

• ทะเบียนสมรสไทย
• หรือ ทะเบียนสมรสต่างประเทศ + ใบ คร.22

และต้องมีฐานะทางการเงินตามเงื่อนไข:

• เงินฝากในบัญชีไทย 400,000 บาท
  หรือ
• รายได้อย่างน้อย 40,000 บาท/เดือน

เงื่อนไขเอกสารชาวต่างชาติ (สำคัญมาก)

เอกสารของชาวต่างชาติ ทุกอย่างรวมถึงพาสปอร์ต ต้องผ่านขั้นตอนดังนี้:

1. รับรองความถูกต้องจากประเทศต้นทาง
   หรือจากสถานทูตของประเทศนั้นในไทย
2. แปลภาษาไทย (รับแปลไทย)
3. นำคำแปลไป รับรองคำแปลที่กรมการกงสุล

ระยะเวลาวีซ่า

• ขั้นต้นจะได้ อนุญาตอยู่ในไทย 90 วัน
• เมื่อใกล้ครบกำหนด สามารถยื่น ขออยู่ต่อ 1 ปี ได้
• การขออยู่ต่อสามารถทำได้ทุกปี หากยังมีคุณสมบัติตามเกณฑ์เดิม

เหมาะกับใคร

• ชาวต่างชาติที่ มีบัญชีธนาคารไทยอยู่แล้ว
  (เพราะการเปิดบัญชีต้องมีวีซ่า Non-O ก่อน)
• หรือผู้ที่สถานทูตของตนออก หนังสือรับรองรายได้/เงินเกษียณ ได้ง่าย
  แต่ในบางกรณี ตม. อาจขอเอกสารที่มาของรายได้เพิ่มเติม

ข้อเสียของการขอเปลี่ยนวีซ่าในไทย

• ต้องมี บัญชีธนาคารไทยอยู่ก่อนแล้วเท่านั้น
• หากยังไม่มีบัญชีไทย – ไม่สามารถเปิดบัญชีด้วยฟรีวีซ่าได้
  ต้องยื่น Non-O ออนไลน์จากประเทศตัวเอง ก่อนเดินทางมา
• การใช้หนังสือรับรองรายได้จากสถานทูต
  ต้องนำเอกสารไป รับรอง – แปล – กงสุล ก่อนยื่น
• (อัพเดท พย 2025) ถ้าชาวต่างชาติเข้าออกไทยเกิน 2ครั้งในปีนั้น ตม.อาจไม่ให้เปลี่ยนวีซ่า

ข้อดีของการขอในไทย

• เดินทางเข้าไทยด้วย ฟรีวีซ่าเพียงครั้งเดียว
• สามารถยื่นเปลี่ยนเป็น Non-O Spouse ได้ทันทีภายในประเทศ

• ใบหย่า (หากเคยหย่า)
• สำเนาบัตรประชาชน
• สำเนาทะเบียนบ้าน

เอกสารฝ่ายชาวต่างชาติ

หมายเหตุ: เอกสารทุกชิ้นต้องรับรองความถูกต้องมาแล้ว + แปลไทย + รับรองแปลที่กรมการกงสุล

1. แบบฟอร์มตม.

• ตม.87 – สำหรับผู้เข้าไทยด้วยฟรีวีซ่า
• ตม.86 – สำหรับผู้ถือวีซ่าท่องเที่ยว
  (รับได้ที่ ตม. หรือโหลดจากเว็บไซต์)

2. สำเนาพาสปอร์ต + ตราประทับเข้าประเทศไทย

3. ใบ ตม.6 (TDAC)

• ลงทะเบียนออนไลน์ก่อนเข้าไทยไม่เกิน 3 วัน

4. ใบ ตม.30 (แจ้งที่พัก)

• ควรทำทันทีตั้งแต่วันแรกที่เดินทางถึงไทย

5. รูปถ่าย ขนาด 2 นิ้ว จำนวน 1 รูป

6. ค่าธรรมเนียม 2,000 บาท

7. เอกสารทะเบียนสมรส

กรณีจดทะเบียนในไทย

• ทะเบียนสมรส คร.2 / คร.3
• สำเนาหนังสือรับรองความเป็นโสดของฝ่ายชาวต่างชาติ (คัดได้ที่อำเภอ)

กรณีจดทะเบียนในต่างประเทศ

• ใบ คร.22
• ทะเบียนสมรสจากต่างประเทศ
  (ต้องรับรอง – แปลไทย – รับรองคำแปลที่กรมการกงสุล ก่อนยื่น)

8. เอกสารแสดงฐานะการเงินของชาวต่างชาติ

เลือกอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง:

a) หนังสือรับรองรายได้ / เงินเกษียณ

• รายได้ไม่ต่ำกว่า 40,000 บาท/เดือน
• ออกโดยสถานทูตในไทย หรือหน่วยงานในต่างประเทศ

b) บัญชีธนาคารไทย

• หนังสือรับรองยอดเงินเป็นภาษาไทย
• สำเนาสมุดบัญชี showing ยอดฝาก ไม่น้อยกว่า 400,000 บาท
  (อัปเดตในวันยื่น)

c) รายได้ + เงินฝากรวมกัน 400,000 บาท

ตัวอย่าง:
เงินฝาก 160,000 + รายได้ 20,000 x 12 เดือน = 400,000 บาท

9. กรณีสามีเป็นคนไทย – ภรรยาเป็นชาวต่างชาติ

• ใบรับรองการทำงานของสามี (อายุไม่เกิน 1 เดือน)

10. รูปถ่ายครอบครัว 6 รูป

ต้องมีทั้งคู่ในภาพ และถ่ายภายในบ้านให้เห็น

• บ้านเลขที่
• บรรยากาศภายในบ้าน

Eligibility Requirements

• To qualify, the applicant must meet both marital and financial conditions.

Marriage Requirement

You must have either:

• A Thai Marriage Certificate, or
• A foreign marriage certificate + Kor Ror 22 (Thai registration of foreign marriage)

Financial Requirement

You must meet one of the following:

• 400,000 THB deposited in a Thai bank account, or
• Monthly income of 40,000 THB, or
• A combination of income + bank balance totaling 400,000 THB

Important Requirement for Foreign Documents

All foreign documents — including passport copies — must be:

1. Certified by the issuing authority or by the applicant’s embassy in Thailand
2. Translated into Thai
3. Legally certified at the Thai Consular Department (Legalization Division)

Visa Duration

• The initial visa conversion grants 90 days of stay.
• Before the 90 days ends, you may apply for a 1-year extension of stay based on marriage.
• The 1-year extension is renewable annually as long as all conditions are maintained.

Who Is This Option Suitable For?

This method is ideal for:

• Foreigners who already have a Thai bank account
• Foreigners whose embassy can easily issue proof of income or pension letters

Note: Immigration may request supporting documents showing the source of income.

Advantages of Applying Inside Thailand

• You can enter Thailand once on a Visa Exemption and immediately convert it to a Non-O Spouse Visa.
• No need to leave the country for a new visa.

Disadvantages of Applying Inside Thailand

• A Thai bank account is required.

• You cannot open a bank account on a Visa Exemption — you must already have one, or you must apply for a Non-O online from your home country before arriving.

• If you use an income/pension letter from your embassy, the document must be certified, translated, and legalized before submission.
• (Updated November 2025) If a foreigner enters and leaves Thailand more than twice in that year, immigration officer may not allow to change their visa.

Documents from the Thai Spouse

• Copy of Thai ID card
• Copy of house registration (Tabien Baan)
• Divorce papers (if previously married)

Documents from the Foreign Spouse

Important: All foreign documents must be certified, translated into Thai, and legalized.

1. Visa Conversion Application Form

• TM.87 — for Visa Exemption holders
• TM.86 — for Tourist Visa holders

2. Copy of passport

• Including the latest entry stamp.

3. TM.6 (TDAC) Pre-Arrival Registration

• Must be registered online within 3 days before entering Thailand.

4. TM.30 Residence Notification

• Should be completed immediately upon arrival.

5. One 2-inch photo

6. Processing fee: 2,000 THB

7. Marriage Documents

If married in Thailand:

• Thai Marriage Certificate (Kor Ror 2 / Kor Ror 3)
• Copy of the foreign spouse’s certificate of single status (can be requested at the district office)

If married abroad:

• Kor Ror 22 (Registration of foreign marriage in Thailand)
• Original foreign marriage certificate
  • Must be certified → translated → legalized before submission

8. Financial Evidence (Choose one)

Option A: Income / Pension Letter

• Issued by your embassy or a foreign government agency
• Must show at least 40,000 THB/month

Option B: Thai Bank Account

• Bank letter (Thai language) showing the balance
• Updated bankbook (minimum 400,000 THB on the day of application)

Option C: Mixed Income & Savings (total = 400,000 THB)

Example:

• Savings: 160,000 THB
• Income: 20,000 THB/month × 12 = 240,000 THB
• Total = 400,000 THB

9. Additional Requirement (Thai Husband – Foreign Wife)

• Thai husband must provide a work certificate (issued within 1 month)

10. Family Photographs

• House number visible in at least one photo
• A set of 6 photos, showing:
  • Both spouses together
  • Inside the residence
