ผู้เดินทางยังสามารถอยู่ได้ครบ 60 วันตามตราประทับเดิม

โดยทั่วไปกฎหมายตรวจคนเข้าเมืองไทยจะไม่ใช้ย้อนหลังเพื่อเพิกถอนสิทธิ์ที่อนุญาตไปแล้ว

หากกังวลว่าเข้าฟรีวีซ่าแล้วจะได้แค่ 30 วัน
วิธีที่ปลอดภัยที่สุดคือยื่นขอ วีซ่าท่องเที่ยว Tourist Visa (TR) ก่อนเดินทาง จะอนุญาตให้พำนักได้ 60 วัน

ข้อดี

• ใช้ตั๋วเดิมได้ ไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนวันบินกลับ
• ลดความเสี่ยงถูกปฏิเสธตอนเช็คอินหรือที่ด่าน ตม.
• วางแผนทริปได้มั่นใจมากขึ้น ไม่ต้องกังวลกับตม.

ถ้าฟรีวีซ่าถูกลดเหลือ 30 วันจริง อาจเลือกเดินทางเข้าไทยตามปกติ แล้วไปยื่นขออยู่ต่อที่สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง

สามารถต่อได้อีก 30 วัน รวมเป็น 60 วัน

ข้อควรระวัง
ต้องตรวจสอบประกาศจริงว่า “ฟรีวีซ่าที่ถูกลดเหลือ 30 วัน” ยังสามารถต่อได้หรือไม่ เพราะเงื่อนไขอาจเปลี่ยนได้ตามประกาศของรัฐ

ถ้าไม่ต้องการต่ออายุ หรือไม่อยากเสี่ยงเรื่องกฎใหม่
อีกทางเลือกคือเลื่อนตั๋วขากลับให้เร็วขึ้น ให้ไม่เกิน 30 วัน

• ทำได้เฉพาะตั๋วประเภท Flexi หรือเปลี่ยนวันได้

Case 1: You Enter Thailand and Receive a 60-Day Stamp, Then the Rule Changes Later

In general, Thai immigration practice follows this principle:

Your permitted stay is based on the entry stamp you receive on the day you enter Thailand.

This means the new policy usually does not cancel or reduce your already-issued permission.

Example:

• You enter Thailand on 1 February and receive a 60-day entry stamp
• On 10 February, Thailand announces Visa Exemption is reduced to 30 days

You can still stay the full 60 days, based on your original stamp.

Thai immigration rules are normally not applied retroactively to cancel an already-granted stay.

If you want to avoid uncertainty at the airport or immigration checkpoint, the safest option is to apply for a Tourist Visa (TR) in advance.

A Tourist Visa normally allows you to stay 60 days.

Pros

• You can keep your original return flight date
• Lower risk of being denied boarding by the airline
• More secure entry planning

If Visa Exemption becomes 30 days, you may still enter Thailand normally and later apply for an extension at the Immigration Office.

In many cases, Thailand allows a 30-day extension, giving a total stay of 60 days.

• Extension fee: 1,900 THB
• Must apply before your permitted stay expires

Pros

• No need to leave Thailand
• You can still stay close to your original plan

Important note
You must check the official announcement, because if Thailand changes the Visa Exemption period, it may also change whether extensions are still allowed.

If you do not want to deal with visa extensions or visa applications, you can adjust your return flight to match the new 30-day stay limit.

• Airlines may charge a change fee

Or, leave Thailand and re-enter.

If you cannot change your return flight date, another option is to exit Thailand and travel to a nearby country, then re-enter Thailand again to receive a new entry stamp.

This can usually be done once, but it is not recommended to do it repeatedly, as frequent border runs may raise concerns with immigration officers.

This option is suitable for travelers who already booked a 60-day round-trip ticket and need additional time in Thailand.
