• Leaving Thailand for at least 7 days or more is generally safer.
• If you want the safest approach, a common guideline is:
  Stay outside Thailand for the same number of days you previously stayed inside
  • Stayed 30 days → Leave for 30 days
  • Stayed 60 days → Leave for 60 days

1) Visa Exemption / Tourist Visa (TR – Single Entry)

Stay allowed: approximately 60 days

Definitions

• Full stay: staying 45–60 days
• Partial stay: staying 15–30 days

Re-Entering Thailand After Leaving

❌ Same-day exit and re-entry (border run)
→ High risk of being denied entry

✅ First exit
→ Leaving for 2–3 days or more is usually fine

⚠️ Second exit
→ Leaving at least 7 days is recommended; questioning is possible

⚠️ Third exit or more

• Partial stay → Entry often possible but questioning likely
• Full stay → Risk of entry denial increases

Do not panic—decisions depend on your total time spent in Thailand overall.

Notes

• Travelers staying no more than 30 days per visit are generally considered lower risk
  and may enter multiple times, but should be prepared to answer questions.
• Tourist TR visas are considered separately from visa exemption
  because they are obtained in advance.
• Recommended strategy:
  Use a Tourist TR visa first, then use visa exemption after it expires.

2) Long-Term Visas

• Leaving Thailand automatically cancels the visa

Entry & Exit Conditions
