• ขออยู่ต่อได้ปีละครั้ง ครั้งละ 180 วัน (ค่าธรรมเนียม 1,900 บาท)

เอกสารหลักในการขอ วีซ่า DTV

1. หลักฐานการเงิน

• เงินฝากขั้นต่ำ 500,000 บาท
• ฝากต่อเนื่องอย่างน้อย 3 เดือน
• ใช้ได้ทั้งบัญชีไทย หรือบัญชีต่างประเทศ

2. หลักฐานงาน หรือ การเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม

• หลักฐานการทำงานในต่างประเทศ
  หรือ
• หลักฐานการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม Soft Power / Medical Treatment

การยื่นหมวด Soft Power / Medical Treatment

ผู้สมัครต้องมีหลักฐานยืนยันการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม
ที่อยู่ในกลุ่ม Soft Power ที่รัฐบาลไทยให้การสนับสนุน เช่น

• การเรียนมวยไทย / ศิลปะป้องกันตัว
• การเรียนทำอาหารไทย
• การเรียนและฝึกซ้อมกีฬา
• การรักษาพยาบาล
• การอบรม / สัมมนา
• การจัดแสดงศิลปะ และดนตรี

ข้อควรระวัง:
เอกสารในหมวด Soft Power หรือ Medical Treatment
ไม่มีอะไรการันตี 100% ว่าจะใช้ได้ทุกสถานประกอบการ ควรส่งรายละเอียดสอบถามสถานทูตไทยในประเทศที่ยื่นวีซ่าก่อนชำระเงิน เพื่อลดความเสี่ยง

เอกสารกรณี Medical Treatment (รักษาพยาบาล)

เหมาะสำหรับการรักษาระยะยาว เช่น

• การผ่าตัด
• โรคเรื้อรัง
• การรักษาเฉพาะทาง
• กายภาพบำบัด
• ทันตกรรมที่ต้องนัดหลายครั้ง
• โปรแกรมฟื้นฟูสุขภาพผู้สูงอายุ / ระบบประสาท / กล้ามเนื้อ

ข้อควรระวัง

• ต้องรักษากับโรงพยาบาลหรือสถานพยาบาลที่ถูกกฎหมาย
• ต้องมีแผนการรักษาต่อเนื่องหลายเดือน
• กิจกรรมที่มักใช้ไม่ได้ เช่น
  สปา นวดผ่อนคลาย สุขภาพเชิงท่องเที่ยว
  โยคะ / สมาธิ ที่ไม่มีแพทย์ดูแล

ข้อดีของวีซ่า DTV (Soft Power / Medical Treatment)

• ผู้เกษียณที่เงินไม่ถึงเกณฑ์วีซ่า Non-O เกษียณ สามารถขอได้ (DTV ใช้เกณฑ์การเงินต่ำกว่า)
• ไม่มีเงื่อนไขล็อกเงินในบัญชีหลายเดือนหลังได้วีซ่า
  ต่างจากวีซ่า Non-O เกษียณ (เพราะใช้บัญชีต่างประเทศ ขอจากต่างประเทศ ไม่ต้องมีบัญชีไทย)
• ไม่จำเป็นต้องใช้หลักฐานการทำงาน
• พำนักในไทยได้นานกว่า วีซ่าเรียน (NON-ED)
  และไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนหรือหาคอร์สเรียนใหม่ทุกปี
  (หากเลือกวิธีเข้า–ออกประเทศทุก 6 เดือน)

ข้อเสียของวีซ่า DTV (Soft Power / Medical Treatment)

1. มีค่าใช้จ่ายสูงกว่า
เนื่องจากต้องซื้อคอร์สหรือแพ็กเกจขั้นต่ำประมาณ 6 เดือน
ค่าใช้จ่ายเฉลี่ย 30,000 – 40,000 บาท
(การเรียนภาษาไม่สามารถใช้ได้)

2. ต้องตรวจสอบสถานประกอบการอย่างละเอียด

• ต้องมีใบอนุญาตถูกต้อง
• ควรสอบถามสถานทูตไทยก่อนชำระเงิน
  เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงความเสี่ยงเสียเงินฟรี

3. การขออยู่ต่อที่ ตม. มีขั้นตอนยุ่งยาก
ต้องแสดงหลักฐานว่า ยังเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมนั้นจริง

• เอกสารรับรองจากหน่วยงาน
• รูปถ่ายการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม

4. กิจกรรมเรียนหรือการรักษาพยาบาล มักทำได้ไม่เกิน 6 เดือน
หากต้องการต่ออยู่ ต้องซื้อคอร์สหรือแพ็กเกจใหม่ ซึ่งมีค่าใช้จ่ายสูง

คำแนะนำ: สามารถเลือกใช้วิธี เข้า–ออกประเทศไทยทุก 6 เดือน ได้โดยไม่ต้องทำเรื่องขออยู่ต่อ ไม่ต้องซื้อคอร์สซ้ำ

Basic Requirements

• Visa fee: 10,000 THB (valid for 5 years)
• Maximum stay of 180 days per entry
• Multiple-entry visa valid for 5 years, allowing unlimited entries and exits
• Extension of stay is allowed once per year, up to 180 days per extension
  (extension fee: 1,900 THB)

Main Documents Required for a DTV Application

1. Financial Evidence

• Minimum bank balance of 500,000 THB
• Funds must be maintained for at least 3 consecutive months
• Bank account can be either Thai or overseas

2. Employment or Activity Evidence

One of the following is required:

• Proof of employment or work outside Thailand
  or
• Proof of participation in Soft Power activities or Medical Treatment

Applying Under the Soft Power / Medical Treatment Category

Applicants must provide supporting documents confirming participation in activities that fall under Thai Soft Power initiatives supported by the Thai government, such as:

• Muay Thai training / martial arts
• Thai cooking courses
• Sports training and practice programs
• Medical treatment
• Training courses / seminars
• Art and music performances or exhibitions

Important Notice

Documents submitted under the Soft Power or Medical Treatment category are not guaranteed to be accepted in all cases or by all institutions.
It is strongly recommended to send the course or treatment details to the Thai Embassy in the country of application for confirmation before making any payment, in order to minimize financial risk.

Documents for the Soft Power Category

Some Thai embassies require participation in a course with a minimum duration of 6 months.

Examples of Soft Power Activities

• Thai Cooking Courses (6–12 months): average cost 30,000–60,000 THB
• Thai cultural classes (e.g. traditional dance, handicrafts) (6 months): average cost around 30,000 THB
• Muay Thai Training Programs (6 months): average cost around 30,000 THB

Required Documents

• Letter of confirmation/certification from the school or organization
  • copy of the ID card of the authorized signatory
• Business license of the organization or school
• Proof of payment (receipt or invoice)
• Course or activity schedule

Important Notice

When applying for an extension of stay, immigration officers may request photos proving actual participation in the activity, not merely proof of course purchase.

Documents for the Medical Treatment Category

This category is suitable for long-term medical treatment, such as:

• Surgery
• Chronic disease treatment
• Specialized medical care
• Physical therapy
• Long-term dental treatment requiring multiple appointments
• Wellness and rehabilitation programs for elderly patients, neurological, or muscular rehabilitation

Important Notes

• Treatment must be provided by a legally licensed hospital or medical facility
• A continuous treatment plan over several months is required
• Activities that are usually not accepted include:
  spa treatments, relaxation massage, medical tourism–style wellness programs,
  yoga or meditation programs without medical supervision

Required Documents

• Appointment letter or treatment schedule
• Letter of confirmation/certification from the hospital or medical facility
• copy of the ID card of the authorized signatory
• Business license of the medical facility
• Proof of payment for medical treatment

Advantages of the DTV Visa (Soft Power / Medical Treatment)

• Allows a longer stay in Thailand than a Non-ED (student) visa, without the need to enroll in or change courses every year
  (if choosing the option of exiting and re-entering Thailand every 6 months).
• Retirees who do not meet the financial requirements for a Non-O Retirement Visa may still be eligible, as the DTV visa requires a lower financial threshold.
• There is no requirement to keep funds locked in a Thai bank account for several months after visa approval, unlike the Non-O Retirement Visa, since DTV applications can use overseas bank accounts and are submitted from outside Thailand.
• No proof of employment is required.

Disadvantages of the DTV Visa (Soft Power / Medical Treatment)

1. Higher overall costs
Applicants are required to purchase a course or treatment package with a minimum duration of approximately 6 months, with average costs of 30,000–40,000 THB
(language courses are not accepted).

2. Careful verification of institutions is required

• The institution must be properly licensed
• It is strongly recommended to confirm acceptance with the Thai Embassy before making any payment, to avoid financial loss

3. Extension of stay procedures can be complicated
Applicants must provide evidence of continued participation in the activity, such as:

• Official confirmation letters from the institution
• Photos showing actual participation in the activity

4. Most courses or medical treatments are limited to around 6 months
To extend the stay, applicants may need to purchase a new course or treatment package, which can be costly.

Recommendation:
Instead of applying for an extension of stay, applicants may choose to exit and re-enter Thailand every 6 months, which avoids repeated extension procedures and the need to purchase additional courses.
