If you are a foreigner staying at your boyfriend’s, girlfriend’s, spouse’s, or relative’s house in Thailand, you need to make sure a TM30 form is submitted for you. If this is not done, your host could face a fine of up to 2,000 Baht—and the form will still need to be filed even after paying the fine!

A TM30 is an official notification to Thai Immigration to report where a foreigner is staying during their time in Thailand.
💡 Why this is important for you: When you want to extend your visa (Extension of Stay), you must go to the Immigration office in the same province where your TM30 was registered. For example, if your partner’s house is in Yasothon, you must go to the Yasothon Immigration office.
