ตามสากล วีซ่าใดก็ตามที่ให้สิทธิ์พำนักตั้งแต่ 90 วันขึ้นไป จะถือว่าเป็นวีซ่าระยะยาว (อาจมีบางประเทศอย่างอังกฤษหรือแคนาดาที่ให้วีซ่าท่องเที่ยวอยู่ได้ถึง 6 เดือน) ซึ่งโดยปกติวีซ่าประเภทนี้จะได้รับอนุมัติให้ซื้อตั๋วขาเดียวได้อยู่แล้ว

สำหรับวีซ่า Non-O ของไทย (ไม่ว่าจะเป็นวีซ่าแต่งงาน/คู่สมรส, วีซ่าเกษียณ หรือวีซ่าติดตามครอบครัว):

• ไม่จำกัดว่าจะต้องอัปโหลดตั๋วเครื่องบิน: หน้าอัปโหลดเอกสารจะไม่มีช่องให้แนบตั๋วเครื่องบิน (ต่างจากวีซ่าท่องเที่ยวที่จะบังคับแนบ Flight Ticket Confirmation)
• การกรอกวันเดินทาง: ในระบบ Thai e-Visa อาจมีช่องให้ระบุวันเดินทางและหมายเลขเที่ยวบิน แต่ระบบล็อกไว้ให้ระบุวันเดินทางเข้า-ออกได้ไม่เกิน 90 วันตามเงื่อนไขเบื้องต้น ให้เลือกระบุวันเดินทางในช่วง 90 วันไปก่อน
• หมายเลขเที่ยวบิน: ถึงระบบจะมีช่องให้กรอก แต่ไม่ได้มีการตรวจสอบจริงจัง สามารถค้นหาเที่ยวบินคร่าว ๆ จาก Google มากรอกใส่ไว้ได้
• คำแนะนำ: ไม่ต้องรีบซื้อตั๋วเครื่องบินก่อนขอวีซ่า ควรรอให้ได้รับอนุมัติวีซ่าเรียบร้อยแล้วค่อยกดซื้อตั๋ว จะได้ไม่ต้องเสี่ยงเสียเงินฟรีหากวีซ่าไม่ผ่าน

เนื่องจากใบ e-Visa จะเป็นเอกสารแยก (ส่งมาทางอีเมล) ไม่ได้ติดอยู่ในเล่มพาสปอร์ต สายการบินต้นทางอาจจะสอบถามหาตั๋วขากลับ

• วิธีรับมือ: ให้เปิดไฟล์ e-Visa จากหน้าจอมือถือ หรือยื่นเอกสารวีซ่าที่พิมพ์ออกมาให้เจ้าหน้าที่ดู แล้วแจ้งว่าเป็น “วีซ่าระยะยาว (Long-term / Long-stay Visa)” เจ้าหน้าที่ก็จะเข้าใจและอนุญาตให้ใช้ตั๋วขาเดียวได้ตามปกติ

เมื่อเดินทางถึงประเทศไทย ควรยื่นเอกสารวีซ่า Non-O (หรือเปิดจากหน้าจอมือถือ) ให้เจ้าหน้าที่ ตม. ดูควบคู่กับพาสปอร์ตด้วย

• ข้อควรระวัง: แม้ ตม. อาจจะมีข้อมูลในระบบอยู่แล้ว แต่การยื่นเอกสารยืนยันด้วยตัวเองจะช่วยป้องกันความผิดพลาด เช่น เจ้าหน้าที่อาจเข้าใจผิดแล้วตราประทับเป็น “ฟรีวีซ่า” แทน ซึ่งจะทำให้เสียสิทธิ์วีซ่า Non-O ที่ขอมา โดยเมื่อ ตม. ตรวจสอบแล้ว ก็จะประทับตราอนุญาตให้อยู่ได้ 90 วันแรกก่อน

• ระบบ TDAC / THIM: การแจ้งข้อมูลเดินทางเข้าประเทศ หากเป็นวีซ่าระยะยาว ไม่จำเป็นต้องกรอกข้อมูลตั๋วขากลับ (ระบบจะไม่มีเครื่องหมายดอกจันบังคับกรอก)

• การแจ้งพักอาศัย ตม.30: ให้แจ้งเฉพาะ “วันเดินทางเข้า” อย่างเดียว ไม่จำเป็นต้องระบุวันเดินทางออก

Internationally, any visa that allows a stay of 90 days or more is considered a long-term visa (with a few exceptions like the UK or Canada, which allow 6-month tourist stays). Visas in this category naturally permit traveling on a one-way ticket.

For Thai Non-O visas (including marriage, retirement, or family visas):

• No return ticket upload required: The document upload page does not ask for a flight ticket (unlike tourist visa applications, which require a Flight Ticket Confirmation).
• Entering travel dates: The online form might ask for entry and departure dates, but the system limits this to a maximum 90-day window. Simply select a departure date within that 90-day period for the application.
• Flight numbers: Although there is a box for a flight number, it is not strictly verified. You can look up a general flight number on Google and fill it in.
• Advice: Do not rush to buy your ticket before applying. It is best to wait until your visa is approved before purchasing a ticket, avoiding financial risk if the visa is denied.

Because e-Visas are issued as separate PDF documents sent via email and are not stamped into your passport beforehand, airline staff might ask for a return ticket.

• How to handle it: Show your e-Visa document on your smartphone or present a printed copy. Explain to the staff that you hold a “long-term / long-stay visa,” and they will allow you to board with a one-way ticket.

Upon arrival in Thailand, present your Non-O visa document (on your phone or paper) to the immigration officer along with your passport.

• Important caution: Although immigration officers usually have the visa data in their system, showing the document yourself prevents mistakes. If the officer isn’t aware and stamps you under a “visa-exempt” entry by mistake, you could lose your Non-O visa status. Showing the visa ensures you receive the correct 90-day Non-O entry stamp.

• TDX / T-DHM Systems: When submitting arrival registration forms for long-term visa holders, return flight details are not mandatory (there is no required asterisk field).

• TM30 Residence Notification: You only need to fill in your “arrival date” and can leave the departure date blank.
