ขั้นตอนการรับรองเอกสาร:
- รับรองตัวจริง: นำพาสปอร์ตไปรับรองความถูกต้องกับหน่วยงานของประเทศต้นทาง (เช่น กระทรวงการต่างประเทศของประเทศนั้นๆ) แล้วนำไปรับรองต่อที่ สถานทูตไทย ในประเทศนั้น (หรือหากไม่รีบ สามารถมาทำที่สถานทูตของประเทศตนเองในประเทศไทยได้ แต่ต้องเผื่อเวลาเนื่องจากคิวอาจจะยาว)
- แปลภาษาไทย: นำพาสปอร์ตที่ผ่านการรับรองแล้วไปแปลเป็นภาษาไทย
- รับรองคำแปล: นำเอกสารที่แปลเป็นภาษาไทยไปรับรองคำแปลที่ กรมการกงสุล กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ในประเทศไทย

- Necessary for Opening Bank Accounts: Many Thai banks now have stricter rules. If you want to open a new account—or if the bank requests updated documents to keep your account active—showing a Yellow House Book alongside your passport and visa will make the process much easier.
- Convenience for Daily Life: When applying for local services, such as registering at hospitals or government offices, using Thai official documents is usually smoother than using just a passport.
- Local Discounts for Travel: Showing your Pink ID Card at certain tourist sites in Thailand allows you to pay the local Thai entry price instead of the foreign tourist rate.
Note: The Yellow House Book and Pink ID Card do not give you Thai citizenship or special legal rights. They are strictly used to confirm your identity and address in Thailand.
Steps and Required Documents
You can apply for these documents at the District Office (Amphoe or Khet) where the foreign national will be registered.

A passport is the main document, but the District Office requires a certified Thai version. Here are the steps:
- Authenticate the Original:
Have the passport certified by the relevant ministry in your home country (e.g., the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and then certified by the Thai Embassy in that country.
(If you are not in a rush, you can do this at your country’s embassy in Thailand, but be prepared for long queue times.) - Translate to Thai: Translate the certified passport into the Thai language.
- Certify the Translation: Take the Thai translation to be certified at the Department of Consular Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in Thailand.

- Notification of Residence (TM.30): Proof of address notification.
- House Owner’s Documents: ID card and the Blue House Book of the Thai house owner.
