Thai Immigration does not offer a short-term 3-month extension option, nor do they reduce the bank deposit requirement proportionally based on how long you stay. For example:

• Marriage Non-O Visa requires a bank deposit of 400,000 THB.
• Retirement Non-O Visa requires a bank deposit of 800,000 THB.

Thai Immigration cannot reduce the required bank deposit to one-quarter (such as down to 100,000 THB) just so you can stay for 3 extra months. This method is available only to citizens of countries eligible for Visa Exemption (Free Visa) when entering Thailand:
