🔸 เลือกและนัดหมายอำเภอ: คุณสามารถเลือกจดทะเบียนที่อำเภอหรือเขตไหนก็ได้ในประเทศไทย ไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นใกล้บ้าน แนะนำให้โทรสอบถามหรือนัดหมายล่วงหน้า เพราะบางอำเภอคิวแน่น หรือบางที่ (เช่น เขตบางรัก) อาจขอตรวจเอกสารก่อนวันจริงครับ
🔸 ขั้นตอนการสัมภาษณ์: ในวันจดทะเบียน เจ้าหน้าที่จะมีการสอบสวนสัมภาษณ์เรากับแฟนเบื้องต้น เพื่อเช็กว่าเป็นคู่รักกันจริง ๆ ไม่ใช่การแต่งงานจ้างจดหรือแต่งการเมืองเพื่อผลประโยชน์
🔸 เลือกนามสกุล: เจ้าหน้าที่จะถามว่าฝ่ายไทยต้องการเปลี่ยนนามสกุลตามแฟน หรืออยากใช้คำนำหน้าและนามสกุลเดิม ตรงนี้เลือกได้ตามความสมัครใจเลยครับ ไม่มีผลทางกฎหมายเรื่องสิทธิ์ แค่ถ้าเปลี่ยนก็ต้องตามไปแก้เอกสารอื่น ๆ ต่อในภายหลัง

- Choosing Your Last Name: The officer will ask the Thai partner if they want to change their last name to match their partner’s, or keep their original name and title. This is completely up to you and does not affect your legal rights. If you change it, you just need to update your other documents later.
💡 Final Warning: Please remember… Getting a Marriage Certificate does NOT mean your partner can stay in Thailand long-term immediately! The certificate is just a required document that you must use along with financial proof to apply for the Marriage Visa (Non-O) next.
