❌ไม่ใช่ “การแจ้งที่พักคนต่างด้าว” หรือ “Notifications of Residence for Foreigners“¹ หรือ “ตม.30“

• ตม.30 คือ “เป็นการแจ้งว่ามีต่างชาติมาพัก” โดย เจ้าบ้านหรือสถานประกอบการ เป็นฝ่ายแจ้งการเข้าพักอาศัยของชาวต่างชาติ
• ชาวต่างชาติต้องขอหลักฐานการแจ้งนี้มาด้วยเพื่อนำไปขอ “ใบรับแจ้งที่พัก” (Letter of Residence Information) ต่อไป

❌ไม่ใช่ ใบสำคัญถิ่นที่อยู่ (Certificate of Residence)

• ใบสำคัญถิ่นที่อยู่ เป็นเอกสารสถานะผู้มีถิ่นที่อยู่ถาวรในประเทศไทย (Permanent Residence)
• ไม่เกี่ยวกับคนส่วนใหญ่

✅ “ใบรับแจ้งที่พัก” หรือ “Letter of Residence Information” ²

• คือการนำ “ตม.30” ไปยืนยันว่าได้แจ้งที่พักแล้ว
• จากนั้นตม.ก็จะออกหนังสือทางราชการรับทราบการแจ้งให้อีกที
• นี่คือใบที่พูดถึงในบทความนี้ ชาวต่างชาติทั่วไปสามารถขอได้ง่ายๆ นำไปเปิดบัญชีธนาคาร และทำใบขับขี่ ได้เลย

1. ใบสมัคร (ดาวน์โหลดที่นี่ หรือ รับได้ที่สตม.)
2. สำเนาหน้าหนังสือเดินทาง
   • สำเนาหน้ารูปถ่ายและข้อมูล
   • สำเนาหน้าตราประทับเข้าไทย
   • สำเนาตราประทับขออยู่ต่อล่าสุด (ถ้ามี)
3. สำเนาใบลงทะเบียนขาเข้า ตม.6 / TDAC
4. สำเนาใบรับแจ้งคนต่างด้าวเข้าพักอาศัย (ตม.30)
5. สำเนาใบรับแจ้งการอยู่ไทยเกิน 90 วัน (ตม.47) ครั้งล่าสุด (ถ้ามี)
6. ไม่มีค่าธรรมเนียม

• เปิดบัญชีธนาคารไทย
• ทำใบขับขี่ไทย หรือ ซื้อขายรถ
• ดำเนินการเอกสารราชการอื่น ๆ ที่ต้องยืนยันที่อยู่ในประเทศไทย

ก่อนอื่นต้องแจ้งตม.30 ก่อน

• ถ้าแจ้งตม.30 ทางออนไลน์ ต้องปริ้นท์ใบยืนยัน (หรือบันทึกไฟล์ในมือถือ) แล้วต้องเดินทางไปที่สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง (สตม.) อีกที เพื่อขอ “ใบรับแจ้งที่พัก“
  
• ถ้าเดินทางไปแจ้งตม.30 ที่ สตม.ในพื้นที่เอง ก็สามารถขอ “ใบรับแจ้งที่พัก“ ต่อได้เลย

หมายเหตุ

• สำหรับคนต่างด้าวที่พักอาศัยในเขตกรุงเทพฯ  ยื่นที่ กองบังคับการตรวจคนเข้าเมือง 1  ตั้งอยู่ที่ศูนย์ราชการเฉลิมพระเกียรติฯ อาคารรัฐประศาสนภักดี (อาคาร B) ชั้น 3
• คนต่างด้าวต้องยื่นคำขอด้วยตนเอง และมารับเอกสารที่ได้ยื่นขอไว้ด้วยตนเอง ตามวันและเวลาที่กำหนดไว้ในบัตรนัด
• เตรียมเอกสารให้ครบถ้วน แล้วขอรับบัตรคิวได้ที่เคาน์เตอร์บริการบัตรคิว ช่องหมายเลข 4 
• หากคนต่างด้าวพักอาศัยอยู่ต่างจังหวัด กรุณาติดต่อกับหน่วยงาน ตม.ในพื้นที่ หรือ ตม.จังหวัด

❌ It is NOT the TM.30 form

• TM.30 (Notification of Residence for Foreigners): This is just the initial report filed by your landlord, host, or hotel to notify immigration that a foreigner is staying at their property.

• The Difference: Foreigners must get a copy of this completed TM.30 from their landlord to apply for the actual Letter of Residence Information.

❌ It is NOT a Certificate of Residence

• A Certificate of Residence is an official document for foreigners who hold permanent residency status in Thailand. Most expats and tourists do not need this.

✅ What IS the “Letter of Residence Information“?

The Letter of Residence Information is an official government document issued by Thai Immigration. You get it by presenting your TM.30 proof to show that your address has been properly registered. Once verified, Immigration issues this letter, which foreigners can easily use to set up bank accounts, apply for driving licenses, or purchase vehicles.

• Application form (download online or pick up at Immigration)
• Passport copy:
  • Bio-data page
  • Latest Thai entry stamp
  • Latest visa extension stamp (if applicable)
• Copy of TM.6 arrival card or Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
• Copy of Notification of Residence for Foreigners (TM30)
• Copy of latest 90-day report receipt (TM47) (if applicable)
• Fee: Free

• Opening a Thai bank account
• Getting a Thai driver’s license or buying/selling a vehicle
• Any official process in Thailand requiring proof of address

First, ensure your TM.30 has been reported:

• If filed online: Print the confirmation slip (or save it on your phone), then visit your local Immigration office to request the Residence Letter.
• If filed in person at Immigration: You can request the Residence Letter during the same visit.

Remarks:

• For foreigners residing in Bangkok, apply at Immigration Division 1, located at the Government Complex, Building B, 2nd floor
• Must submit the application in person and come back to receive the letter submitted in person on the date and time specified in the appointment card.
• Prepare all necessary documents and request a queue ticket at the Queue Service Counter (NO.4) 
• If foreigners reside in other provinces, please contact the local Immigration office or Provincial Immigration office.
