วีซ่าไทย: “การเปลี่ยนวีซ่า” คืออะไร
การเปลี่ยนวีซ่า คือ การเปลี่ยนประเภทวีซ่า (Change Visa Type) หรือเปลี่ยนสถานะการพำนักในประเทศไทย จากวีซ่าพำนักระยะสั้น เช่นฟรีวีซ่า/วีซ่าท่องเที่ยว ไปเป็นวีซ่าที่ใช้พำนักระยะยาว เช่น Non-O คู่สมรส / ครอบครัว / เกษียณ
การเปลี่ยนวีซ่ามักจะใช้เมื่อ:
- เดินทางเข้าไทยด้วยฟรีวีซ่าหรือท่องเที่ยว
- ต้องการอยู่ต่อนานขึ้นมากกว่าระยะเวลาฟรีวีซ่า/วีซ่าท่องเที่ยว
- ไม่ได้ยื่นขอวีซ่า Non-O จากต่างประเทศก่อนเดินทาง

เงื่อนไขสำคัญในการเปลี่ยนวีซ่า
- ต้องยื่น อย่างน้อย 15 วันก่อนวีซ่าปัจจุบันหมดอายุ
- ต้องมีเอกสารตามเกณฑ์ของประเภทวีซ่าที่จะเปลี่ยนไป (เช่น เงินในบัญชี / ใบสมรส / สูติบัตรลูก / ใบรับรองรายได้)
- ต้องยื่นที่ สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง (Immigration Office) ในเขตตามทะเบียนบ้านที่ได
- อย่าลืม ลงทะเบียนตม.30 ก่อนพบตม.
เปลี่ยนวีซ่าแล้ว อยู่ได้ 90 วัน (ไม่ใช่ 1 ปี)
- การขออยู่ต่อ ถึงจะสามารถอยู่ต่อได้อีก 1 ปี (ต่อในไทยได้เรื่อยๆ)
- เมื่อได้รับอนุมัติเปลี่ยนวีซ่าแล้ว จะได้วันวีซ่าเบื้องต้น 90 วัน
- หากต้องการอยู่นานมากกว่า 90 วัน ต้องยื่นเรื่อง “ขออยู่ต่อ”

- ❌ Non-O → Another type of Non-O
Important Requirements for Changing Visa Type
- You must apply at least 15 days before your current permission to stay expires
- You must provide supporting documents based on the new visa type, such as: Proof of funds, Marriage certificate
- You must submit the application at the Immigration Office responsible for the location where your TM.30 is registered
After Changing Visa Type: You Receive 90 Days (Not 1 Year)
- Once your visa change is approved, you will receive a 90-day Non-O stay first
- This is the standard initial permission—not one year.
- To stay longer than 90 days, you must apply for an “extension of stay.”
- Extension of stay can be renewed every year, as long as you continue to meet the requirements
