ทะเบียนฐานะแห่งครอบครัว (คร.22) คืออะไร?
ทะเบียนฐานะแห่งครอบครัว หรือ ทะเบียน คร.22 คือเอกสารที่ใช้ รับรองการสมรสที่จดทะเบียนในต่างประเทศ ให้ถูกต้องและมีผลตามกฎหมายไทย โดยทำที่สำนักงานเขตหรืออำเภอในประเทศไทย
การทำทะเบียน คร.22 เป็นข้อบังคับ ส่งคู่กับทะเบียนสมรสต่างประเทศ เพื่อขออยู่ต่อในไทยด้วย วีซ่า Non-O และมีประโยชน์อย่างมากหากต้องการใช้สิทธิ์ต่าง ๆ ในประเทศไทย เช่น การขออยู่ต่อ, การเปิดบัญชีธนาคาร, การซื้อขายอสังหาริมทรัพย์, ขอพิพาททางกฎหมาย
ขั้นตอนการทำทะเบียน คร.22 ต้องเตรียมล่วงหน้า
➤1. การรับรองเอกสาร (Legalization)
เป็นการทำเพื่อรับรองความถูกต้องของเอกสารว่าเป็นตัวจริงไม่มีการปลอมแปลง
นำพาสปอร์ต และทะเบียนสมรสต่างประเทศ ไปรับรองตัวจริงจากหน่วยงานของประเทศต้นทาง
เพื่อยืนยันว่าเอกสารถูกต้อง ไม่ปลอมแปลง
จากนั้นนำไปให้ สถานทูตไทยในประเทศนั้น รับรองเพิ่มเติม
➤ 2. แปลเอกสารเป็นภาษาไทย
เอกสารทะเบียนสมรสต่างประเทศที่ได้รับรองแล้ว ต้องนำไปแปลเป็นภาษาไทย
➤ 3. รับรองการแปลที่กรมการกงสุลในไทย
หลังจากได้เอกสารแปลภาษาไทยแล้ว ต้องนำไป กรมการกงสุล เพื่อรับรองการแปล การรับรองนี้ทำให้เอกสารแปลเป็นทางการ สามารถใช้ในประเทศไทยได้
➤ 4. ยื่นขอทำใบทะเบียน คร.22 ที่อำเภอ
- เมื่อได้เอกสารครบทั้งหมด ให้ติดต่อ อำเภอที่ใกล้บ้าน เพื่อยื่นคำขอทำทะเบียน คร.22 เจ้าหน้าที่อำเภอจะตรวจสอบเอกสารและบันทึกข้อมูลการสมรสในระบบทะเบียนครอบครัวไทย
- ก่อนยื่นเอกสารแนะนำให้ สอบถามอำเภอล่วงหน้า ว่าต้องใช้เอกสารอื่น ๆ เพิ่มเติมหรือไม่ เพราะบางอำเภออาจขอเอกสารเพิ่มเติม เช่น ใบรับรองความโสดของคู่สมรสไทย หรือเอกสารอื่น ๆ เพื่อยืนยันสถานะสมรส
➤ จดทะเบียนสมรสที่ต่างประเทศแล้ว ควรจะจดทะเบียน คร.22 ที่ไทยด้วยมั้ย?
- ไม่บังคับ แต่ทำเพื่อประโยชน์ทางกฎหมาย เช่น รับมรดก
- ใช้เป็นหลักฐานในการขอต่อวีซ่าเพื่ออยู่ไทยระยะยาวได้
- ทะเบียน คร.22 อาจจะดูยุ่งยากในครั้งแรก แต่ทำครั้งเดียวสามารถใช้ได้ตลอดชีวิตการสมรส

What Is the Family Status Registration (Khor.Ror.22)?
The Family Status Registration, known as Khor.Ror.22, is a document used to register and certify a marriage that was legally performed abroad, making it valid and officially recognized under Thai law. This registration is done at a district office (Amphur) in Thailand.
Registering your form Khor.Ror.22 is mandatory and must be submitted along with your overseas marriage certificate when applying for an extension of stay in Thailand with a Non-O visa. it is highly beneficial if you need to exercise certain rights in Thailand, such as: Non-O Spouse Visa Extension, opening a Thai bank account, Buying or selling real estate and Using it in cases of legal disputes.
Process requires preparations and documents
➤ 1. Document Legalization
- This process is done to verify that the documents are genuine and not forged.
- You must bring your passport and foreign marriage certificate to be legalized by the relevant authority in the country where the marriage took place, to confirm that the documents are authentic and not falsified.
- After that, the documents must be further legalized by the Thai Embassy in that country.
➤ 2. Translate the Documents into Thai
Once the foreign marriage certificate has been legalized, it must be translated into Thai.
➤ 3. Certify the Translation at the Department of Consular Affairs (Thailand)
- After obtaining the Thai translation, you must submit it to the Department of Consular Affairs in Thailand for translation certification.
- This certification makes the translated document official and legally valid for use in Thailand.
➤ 4. Apply for the Khor.Ror.22 Registration at the District Office
- Once all documents are complete, contact your local district office (Amphur) to apply for the Khor.Ror.22 registration.
- The officer will review your documents and record the marriage information into Thailand’s family registration system.
- Before submitting your documents, it is recommended to check with the district office in advance to confirm whether they require any additional documents, as some offices may ask for more items—for example, a single-status certificate for the Thai spouse or other documents to verify the marital status.
