1) รัฐเน้นให้ขอวีซ่ากับสถานทูตก่อนมาไทย

ระบบ ThaieVisa เปิดให้ยื่นออนไลน์ได้ทั่วโลก ไม่จำเป็นต้องเดินทางไปสถานทูตด้วยตนเอง

แนวทางใหม่คือ
ขอวีซ่าให้ถูกต้องก่อนเดินทางเข้าไทย

2) ฟรีวีซ่า / วีซ่าท่องเที่ยว เปิดบัญชีธนาคารไทยไม่ได้

หากต้องการเปิดบัญชีธนาคารในไทย ต้องใช้วีซ่า NON-O เท่านั้น

3) เข้าออกไทยบ่อยเกิน 2 ครั้ง อาจถูกสอบถาม

สำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมือง (ตม.) จะสอบถามเหตุผล และขอดูเอกสารเพิ่มเติม

หากไม่มีเหตุผลที่สมเหตุสมผล เช่น ไม่มีตั๋วขากลับ หรือไม่มีแผนการเดินทางชัดเจน
อาจถูกปฏิเสธการเข้าเมืองและส่งกลับ

4) ตม. ไม่สนับสนุนการเปลี่ยนประเภทวีซ่าในไทย

หน้าที่ของ ตม. คือ “ขยายเวลาพำนัก” ไม่ใช่ตรวจสอบคุณสมบัติวีซ่าครั้งแรก

หลายกรณีถูกแนะนำให้ออกนอกประเทศ เพื่อยื่นขอวีซ่าออนไลน์ใหม่ แล้วค่อยกลับเข้าไทย

5) ต้องอยู่ให้ถูกประเภทตามวีซ่า

อยู่ผิดประเภท มีสิทธิ์ถูกเพิกถอนวีซ่า หรือส่งกลับประเทศต้นทาง

1. ฟรีวีซ่าเข้าไทย — เข้มงวดขึ้น

ฟรีวีซ่าถูกออกแบบมาสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวระยะสั้น
ผู้ที่มาไม่เกินประมาณ 3 สัปดาห์ มักไม่มีปัญหา

แต่การพยายามใช้ฟรีวีซ่าเพื่ออยู่ยาว ทำได้ยากมากแล้ว

• ต่อครั้งแรก: ยังขยายได้ 30 วัน
• ต่อครั้งที่สอง: เหลือเพียง 7 วัน
• Visa run เข้า-ออกวันเดียวกัน: ไม่อนุญาต

หากเข้าออกไทยบ่อยเกิน 2 ครั้ง จะถูกสอบถามเหตุผล
หากอยู่เต็มจำนวนวันฟรีวีซ่าแล้ว ครั้งที่ 3 มีโอกาสสูงที่จะถูกปฏิเสธเข้าเมือง

2. อยู่นานขึ้นแบบวีซ่าระยะสั้น
Tourist Visa TR / METV

ควรขอออนไลน์ก่อนเดินทาง

• TR (Single Entry)
  ได้ 60 วัน + ขยายได้ 30 วัน
• METV (Multiple Entry 6 เดือน)
  อยู่ได้ครั้งละ 60 วัน เข้าออกได้หลายครั้งภายใน 6 เดือน

หลังจากวีซ่าท่องเที่ยวหมดอายุ อาจใช้ฟรีวีซ่าต่อได้ (ขึ้นกับดุลยพินิจ ตม.)

3. Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)

Destination Thailand Visa คือวีซ่าทางเลือกสำหรับคนยังไม่แต่งงาน ไม่ได้เกษียณ แต่ต้องการอยู่ไทยยาว

• อยู่ได้ครั้งละ 6 เดือน
• อายุวีซ่า 5 ปี
• Multiple-entry เข้าออกใหม่จะได้ประทับตรา 6 เดือนทุกครั้ง

เหมาะกับใคร?

• Digital nomads
• Remote workers
• ผู้ทำงานออนไลน์ให้นายจ้างต่างประเทศ
• ห้ามทำงานให้บริษัทไทย

ทางเลือก Soft Power

สามารถสมัครโดยเข้าคอร์สหรือกิจกรรมที่เชื่อมโยงวัฒนธรรมไทย เช่น มวยไทย อาหารไทย ฯลฯ
แต่ต้องมีหลักฐานการเรียน และอาจมีค่าใช้จ่ายต่อเนื่อง

เงื่อนไขทางการเงิน

ต้องมีเงินอย่างน้อย 500,000 บาท ในบัญชีไทยหรือต่างประเทศ ต่อเนื่อง 3 เดือน

DTV เป็นทางเลือกที่ใช้งานจริง สำหรับคนทำงานออนไลน์ และไม่ต้องออก-เข้าเรื่อย ๆ แบบวีซ่าท่องเที่ยว

4. วีซ่า NON-O (คู่สมรส / เกษียณ)

• เบื้องต้นได้ 90 วัน ต่อได้อีก 1 ปี
• ไม่ต้องออกนอกประเทศ
• สามารถต่ออายุได้ปีละครั้ง
• เป็น Single Entry (ต้องทำ Re-entry หากจะเดินทางออก)

NON-O คู่สมรส

• มีทะเบียนสมรสกับคนไทย (ไทยหรือต่างประเทศก็ได้)
• เงินฝากบัญชีไทย 400,000 บาท
  หรือ หนังสือรับรองรายได้ 40,000 บาท/เดือน

เหมาะกับผู้ที่ต้องการตั้งครอบครัวและอยู่ไทยอย่างถูกต้อง

NON-O เกษียณ

• อายุ 50 ปีขึ้นไป
• เงินฝากบัญชีไทย 800,000 บาท
  หรือ หนังสือรับรองรายได้ 65,000 บาท/เดือน

เรื่องสำคัญ: วินัยทางการเงิน

เงินในบัญชีเป็น “หลักประกัน” ไม่ได้หายไปไหน
แต่หากถอนออกแล้วไม่เติมกลับ ปีถัดไปอาจต่อวีซ่าไม่ได้

5. LTR Visa (Long-Term Resident)

Board of Investment Thailand เป็นผู้พิจารณาคุณสมบัติก่อนอนุมัติ

Long-Term Resident Visa

• อายุวีซ่า 10 ปี (5 ปี + ต่ออีก 5 ปี)
• Multiple-entry

กลุ่มคุณสมบัติสูง

Wealthy Global Citizen

• ลงทุนในไทยขั้นต่ำ 500,000 USD (อสังหาริมทรัพย์ หุ้น พันธบัตร)

Wealthy Pensioner

• อายุ 50 ปีขึ้นไป
• รายได้ขั้นต่ำ 80,000 USD/ปี
  หรือ 40,000 USD/ปี + ลงทุน 250,000 USD
• ประกันสุขภาพคุ้มครองอย่างน้อย 100,000 USD

1) Apply Before Arrival — Online via ThaieVisa

Thailand now strongly encourages applicants to use the Thai eVisa system.

Applications can be submitted online from anywhere in the world. In most cases, there is no longer a need to visit a Thai embassy in person.

The new approach is simple:
Get the right visa before entering Thailand.

2) Visa Exemption / Tourist Visa Cannot Open a Thai Bank Account

If a foreigner wants to open a Thai bank account, a NON-O visa is generally required.

3) Frequent Entries (More Than Twice) May Trigger Questioning

If someone enters Thailand frequently (more than two times in a short period), Immigration officers may:

• Ask for the reason for repeated entry
• Request supporting documents
• Check for a return ticket or travel plans

If the explanation is not convincing, entry may be denied.

4) Immigration Does Not Encourage Changing Visa Types Inside Thailand

The role of Immigration is to extend stays — not to evaluate new visa eligibility.

Many applicants are advised to leave Thailand and apply online from abroad, then re-enter with the proper visa.

5) You Must Stay Under the Correct Visa Category

Staying under the wrong category may result in visa cancellation or denial of entry in the future.After the booking is completed, the system will send a QR Code to the registered e-mail address.

1) Visa Exemption — Now Stricter

Visa exemption is designed for short-term tourists.
Travelers staying under three weeks usually face no issues.

However, attempting to live in Thailand through repeated visa exemptions is now very difficult.

• First extension: 30 days
• Second extension: only 7 days
• Same-day visa run: not permitted

If someone fully uses the exemption period and attempts a third entry, the risk of denial increases significantly.

2) Staying Longer with Tourist Visas (TR / METV)

It is strongly recommended to apply online before arrival.

Tourist Visa (TR – Single Entry)

• 60 days
• Extendable for 30 more days

METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa – 6 Months)

• Stay 60 days per entry
• Multiple entries within 6 months

After the tourist visa expires, some travelers may attempt to use visa exemption again — but approval depends on Immigration discretion.

3) Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)

The Destination Thailand Visa is designed for foreigners who:

• Are not married to a Thai
• Are not retired
• Want to stay long-term legally

Key features:

• Stay up to 6 months per entry
• Valid for 5 years
• Multiple-entry (each re-entry grants a new 6-month stamp)

Who Is It For?

• Digital nomads
• Remote workers
• Individuals working online for foreign employers

Working for a Thai company is not allowed.

Soft Power Option

Applicants may qualify by enrolling in Thai cultural programs (e.g., Muay Thai, Thai cooking, cultural courses).
However, proof of enrollment may be required, and ongoing course fees may apply.

Financial Requirement

• 500,000 THB in a Thai or foreign bank account
• Funds must be maintained for at least 3 months

For many remote workers, DTV is a practical long-term solution without constant border runs.

4) NON-O Visa (Marriage / Retirement)

A 1-year visa that allows continuous stay in Thailand.
No need to leave the country, but annual renewal is required.

It is single-entry — a re-entry permit is required before traveling abroad.

NON-O Spouse Visa

• Legally married to a Thai national
• 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account
  OR
• 40,000 THB monthly income certification

Suitable for those planning long-term family life in Thailand.

NON-O Retirement Visa

• Age 50 or older
• 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account
  OR
• 65,000 THB monthly income certification

Important: Financial Discipline Matters

The required funds serve as financial security.
If the balance drops below the required threshold and is not restored, renewal may be denied.

5) LTR Visa (Long-Term Resident)

The Board of Investment Thailand oversees qualification review.
